I am back this week with a brand spanking…

So this year I wanted to have more posts talking about confidence within yourself and how to help other women by just complimenting them.

This year one of my many goals was to build more confidence within myself. So I thought I’d bring you all on the journey with me so you could learn how to be more confident.  

So within the past 3 months, I’ve been questioning myself and I have not been feeling my best self. Why did you ask? Well around this time during the cold month my seasonal depression is trash, and my anxiety wants to play games as well. 

So I told myself instead of walking around as if I hate myself just wake up and pray, get up and think positive thoughts.

Every day I pray for friends, family, and myself. I try to find a daily mantra to go by for that day. So let’s get into the real reason why you all are here. 

Let’s talk about confidence and how to build it within yourself. So while doing some research for this blog post I stumbled upon this pretty informal article.  

10 Things You Can Do to Boost Self-Confidence  

To summarize the article it gives you 10 things on how to boost confidence as an entrepreneur. I will just name a few that caught my eye. 

  1. Visualize yourself as you want to be
  2. Affirm yourself
  3. Do one thing that scares you every day
  4. Create Personal Boundaries

These four ways stuck out to me cause I use them pretty often. While I read the article I was pretty surprised by how many of these I have implemented in my daily life.  

Visualize yourself where you want to be – Ask yourself where do I see (insert your name here) in the next 3-5 years? Have you asked? Good, in 3-5 years I want to be a successful entrepreneur working on my own and earning my own money. I want to have a better hold on my mental health in 1-2 years. Financially I want to save at least 2k per year and at least take 1-2 vacations a year. 

Affirm Yourself –  How? That’s a good question because I am steady learning daily how to affirm myself. To affirm yourself is to be your true self that the world does not see. So for example with my blog, I try to be my most genuine authentic self. Expressing yourself speak/give your opinion. Think positive thoughts do not let the negative take over it will only hurt you in the long wrong.

Do one thing that scares you every day – Listen I have the biggest fear of public speaking. Last summer we had a blog event for bloggers and boy I was NERVOUS, but once I started speaking I was able to ease through everything and I was just fine I survived. I will say each day I did not do something every day, but I got out of my comfort zone a lot and 2019 and I am okay with that. This year I plan on doing that plus more I just have to push myself cause everything will be just fine. 

Create Personal Boundaries – Do I need an explanation for this? I mean it’s self-explanatory. Tell people no, value yourself more. Know your limits for helping someone and be assertive when telling them how far you can help them. In my opinion, you can be assertive without feeling like you’ve offended someone. All my life I was always afraid that by telling someone no they would be upset about it. Now as I am in my 30s I have been saying “NO” a lot more and either people move forward or they don’t like it. It is not up to you to feel bad about telling a person no especially if it’s something you do not want to do. 

With all of that being said I want you to make 2020 a personal journey for you. I know I am and I would love for you all to take the ride with me.
