As 2019 starts off I wanted to kind of reflect on my year and I thought about a few things that came to mind.

2018 was the learning year for me and I got to know Phoenicia so much better than what I thought I knew in my 20’s. I learned more about myself when it comes to friendships and relationships, I have met new super supportive and amazing friends that I know will be in my life for a very long time, I have discovered my passion for blogging, meeting amazing women from the blogging world (should out to ya’ll!!!), and to figuring out how to start becoming a better person for mental health and for my daughter.

In 2019 I plan on learning how to fix a few things on my credit, saving some money to buy myself a gift, STOP PROCRASTINATING, move into my new place, and just enjoy life and see the world more. I can’t keep waiting on other people to do stuff anymore it’s time to go see places that are on my list and just live in the moment. My quote for 2019 is stop living through other people’s Instagram and go see the world yourself. What’s stopping me right? NOTHING.

2018 was an amazing year. I learned so many lessons made so many blogger friends and I’d like to meet in person. I even met someone I was such a fan of on YouTube in real life and she’s such a sweetheart. I just really wanted post this today because it is officially 1 of 365 which means you have 365 days to do what makes you happy.

This year I will be revamping my blog ( new logo, website design and all) I am excited for you all to see it. Also, I will be doing a section on my blog dedicated to mental health resources in my local area. I will also be revamping Dope Women of the Week and added some guest blog post. I will also be attending more blogging events and networking. More to come soon on everything. If you are a blogger and you are interested in being a guest blogger email me at withadashofmelanin@gmail.com. (posting about this week on IG & FB.

Happy New Year to you all and I hope you all have wonderful year.

  1. Yes to no more procrastinating. That is such a huge thing for so many people… including myself. I think of so many ideas, but just type it out or write it down for later, but I need to just do it as soon as I can.

I also agree with attending more networking and blogging events! She ready! 🤣
